January 28th, Lecture about the legendary Arik Einstein
This interactive lecture started with Arik Einstein’s childhood and the people who surrounded him, his army songs, and why the bands of that time became so popular. We talked about the influence of Beatles on the Israeli scene and why Arik Einstein is considered “the soundtrack of Israel,” his work with classical texts, and his ability to sing in simple words about topics of concern to everyone – such as in the songs “Ani veAta” and “Uf Gozal.” We discussed the Haim Hefer’s lyrics to Arik’s song “Atur Metskhakh” and sang other songs together. and sang a few more Arik's songs together.
