THE HISTORY OF BEER SHEVA, FROM TURKEY TO AUSTRALIA - FRIDAY TOUR

07.05.2021

This Friday, we organized a tour of the Beersheva Anzac Memorial Center. Our tour guide started the excursion from the old Turkish railway station, walking us through the historical buildings and an original steam locomotive, an exhibition of photographs "Jerusalem has many faces." Then we continued to the British Cemetery and heard the stories of the soldiers who died liberating Beersheva in the First World War, and visited the Anzac Soldiers Memorial Center, where they listened to the riveting Australian and New Zealand Lighthorse story from 1917.

Such an exciting tour! Our talented made this the old Turkish station and cemetery and fascinating history come to life! The Anzac Museum turned out to be very unusual, with a room with an elevator and its interesting composition. I hope to learn even more about this part of our country’s history. Thank you very much!
