ETHNIC MINORITIES IN ISRAEL - ISRAELI ARABS AND BEDOUINS. PART I
26.07.2021
The population of the Middle East is a traditionally variegated mosaic of different peoples and cultures, but for more than a thousand years, Arab cultural identity has been prominent in this region. During the first of two online lectures, guide Mikhail Rudnitsky discussed how for the first time in the history of the Middle East in the last millennium, Israeli Arabs became an ethno-confessional minority in the small independent state of Israel. We learned how their cultural and national identity has changed in recent decades, over the course of his 2.5 hour lecture, with detailed historical facts, dates, pictures, and other meticulously collected information about the entire history of local Arabs and Bedouins.
