GERMAN COLONY HISTORICAL TOUR - HAIFA

Our guide from the Haifa Museum led us through the German Colony, which was built by the Templars who arrived in Palestine during the 1800’s, believing that their settlement would save the world. We learned about the Templars and their community, their impact on the development of Haifa, and the families and events in Haifa during the late 19th and early 20th century.
Thanks for this series of historical meetings! Now I have a much better understanding of Haifa and its origins and feel more a part of this city – I look forward to learning more!
