OPERATION LIGHT UP#10! CELEBRATING HANUKKAH WITH SURVIVORS AND VETERANS

01.12.2021

Hanukkah volunteering is a 10-year dear tradition of Shishi Shabbat Yisraeli – sharing the light and expressing our gratitude the very real heroes who fought for our freedom and still live among us! In Haifa, Bat Yam, Tel Aviv and Beersheva we organized musical evenings with guitars, and gifts of hot water bottles, food, and sufganiyot in Assisted Living homes and in the apartments of home-bound elderly. We lit Hanukkah candles, sang, danced, shared our stories, and created a really warm winter holiday evening. Our young volunteers received blessings and advice for their new lives in Israel and saw joyful eyes and smiles hidden behind the masks of our veterans. Our thanks to the Masa groups and municipalities who collaborated with us in these wonderful events.

Thank you so much for bringing us this amazing holiday atmosphere!! I almost forgot how great home concerts can be. Vlad and Sasha are so talented and I enjoyed every moment of this event. Please, please come again!
