RIDDLES AND SECRETS OF THE OLD CITY OF BEERSHEVA

We organized a guided Friday tour around Beersheva, especially for all the newcomers and recent Olim. We walked in very pleasant company around the old Turkish railway station, and visited an exhibition of nature photographs and paintings. Then we continued to the British Cemetery and the Anzac Soldiers Memorial Center, where we heard moving stories about the soldiers who died for Beer Sheva and how the Australian and New Zealand “Lighthorse Brigade” ended up in our city. We ended our walk in the Allenby Garden, admired the beauty of this place, and talked about the person who the garden is named after.
Great tour! I dreamed of walking around these places that I’d heard of and learning so many interesting things about Beersheva.
