GUSH ETZION GOURMET BERRY & WINE TOUR

It was one of our most delicious Israel tours, with raspberries, cherries, currants, blueberries and wine in Gush Etzion! After berry-picking and meeting with local farmers, two busloads of Olim, including many Lone Soldiers (in collaboration with Nefesh b’Nefesh) took turns observing much of Israel, at an altitude of 1000 meters above sea level. Gush Etzion is picturesque and full of exciting stories, which we learned from our guides, David and Baruch Kerem. In this beautiful area, where antiquity and modernity are intertwined, we visited the famous Lone Oak, and met with residents, including the owners of the Rotem Winery, Russian-speaking Olim from Neve Daniel. They served us fantastic wine, brandy, and even chacha, with a view of the Judean hills. This is how we spent one warm Israeli Friday with great people.
