We invited our guests to walk along the streets of Jerusalem where the fate of the future state of Israel was determined during the British Mandate, which had controlled Eretz Israel for 31 years. Our guide Pavel Bernshtein spoke about the relationship between the British and the Jewish yishuv, and what influenced England’s decision to leave Eretz Israel. As we walked, we learned about the buildings whose very presence are a chilling legacy that remind us of the blessing of Israel’s independence.
