VOLUNTEERING WITH NEW OLIM FROM THE WAR ZONE - AUGUST 2022

In August, our Coordinators and volunteers continue to assist new Olim from the War Zone daily, locating apartments and signing contracts, accompanying people to medical appointments, translating, locating donated items – including for a new born baby - and organizing many cultural events including a fun day in the Haifa Port. Over 2000 new olim visited the "Information Fair" of the Haifa Municipality, manned by our volunteers.
We continued our weekly Online Webinars every Sunday night attended by hundreds of Olim - "Israel – A User Manual.” This month, experienced Russian-speaking professionals provided explanations about Israel’s finance, banking, tax, and education systems and a whole session dedicated to general life tips for succeeding in Israel.
Our volunteers continued to host new Olim via our Shabbat Host project, including a Friday night dinner hosted by our Haifa Coordinator for 25 new young families!
