Eliezer Shargorodsky, Content Director at the Jewish Agency for Israel, gave an exciting lecture for Shishi Shabbat Israeli, comparing historical events from different eras. He compared the fall of Beitar, the capital of the Bar Kochba uprising, in 135 AD, and the fall of Tel Hai, an isolated Jewish farm in northern Galilee in 1920, despite different numbers of participants. He was able to find typical historical proportions due to the importance of these defeat in the people's minds. He talked about common meanings, differences, and why it is essential to see the second event - the fall of Tel Hai, as no less important than the fall of Beitar.

At least once, everyone asked himself why I am not as smart as other people? Why are other people more successful, and how do they succeed?
During the webinar with coach and psychologist Eva Levit we discussed why only 5% of the world's population call themselves successful with a good reason? What is the reason for this in cognitive psychology? She told us how to improve the main human organ.- our brains. Also, she explained why active exploration of Judaism can help develop the mind.and character traits, and suggested which spiritual Jewish books encourage self-development and improve our understanding and mental activity.

Together with our good friend, Hebrew teacher, and special education specialist, Evgeny Seruk, we followed the Jewish calendar and the stories of the Tanakh.. We spoke about the midrash of Hanoch ben Ered, who ascended to heaven and learned how to count days and years, learned about the creation of the sun and moon on the fourth day of Creation, and its influence on the dates of our holidays. Evgeny then shared the discoveries about the Jewish calendar from the Dead Sea Scrolls and how these influenced world history.
Thanks to Evgeny for his talent to bring Tanakh stories easily with a great sense of humor. And many thanks to Shishi Shabbat Yisraeli for the opportunity to come closer to the Jewish history and traditions!

As usual with Dima, it was a fantastic webinar! He shared with us the sources that speak about Mashiach, his lineage and qualities, his responsibilities and different views on what our redeemed world will look like. I so appreciate the online format, especially during these difficult days that we spend mostly at home. Hope you will organize more online lectures about Judaism, and I will attend again with great pleasure!
