Together with amazing guide and geologist Michael Duhovny, we travelled from Haifa to Metsukei Dragot in the Judean Desert, watched at the sunset at the Dead Sea, and the vast gorge of the Darga River. We learned about the history and romantic connections of Tu B’Av! After that, we pitched tents, made dinner over a campfire, and set out on a moonlight hike. In the morning, the most unforgettable sunrise awaited us!
Thank you for this cool excursion! So many impressions. Unforgettable views, an exciting and unusual night hike under a full moon, the sounds of the desert, and sunrise over the Dead Sea. I haven't seen that in a long time.

Pavel Bernshtein is an experienced Israeli guide, researcher and educator, and Master and Margarita is a great and mysterious book. During the lecture, Pavel shared with us his research about Bulgakovs life, and how he was able to connect three different worlds: Moscow, Jerusalem and the Magic underworld. Bulgakov had never been in Jerusalem, but described events and places that really existed at the time. Together with Pasha and Mikhail Bulgakov, we made an online “tour” of the Old city, discussing the main characters of the book and their prototypes, places and events that took place in the book and in history.
"Master and Margarita" is one of my favorite books, so I was waiting for this lecture for a long time. I was always curious about how Mikhail Bulgakov created his Jerusalem, where is the truth and where is the fiction. I am really inspired by lectures where you can trace the connection between Israel and world literature. Many thanks to Pasha and Shishi Shabbat!

Masha Kushnir is a portrait travel photographer and journalist with published photo essays in Esquire, Psychology, Forbes, and others international magazines. Portrait photography is one of the most accessible genres, which speaks not only of the person in front of the camera but also of the artist behind it.
How long should a photo session last, what to do with people who are afraid of cameras, where is the best place to shoot? How do I select photos? We learned about all this during this lecture.
Masha is a great photographer - thank you for finding such people who we can learn from.

What is the difference between the different pension and insurance programs in Israel? Bituach Menahalim, Kupat Gemel? These topics are of equal interest to both new immigrants and experienced Israelis - the questions are complex, but we should all learn to navigate them. Mikhail Lazerson shared with us how to understand the system and make it work for ourselves.

Eighty years have passed since the day of Ze’ev Jabotinsky’s death, but any Israeli politician who denies being his student today is not being honest! Jabotinsky who worked towards one goal - the creation of a Jewish state. And he succeeded. The saddest visionary of Israel in the making, the most underrated leader, both adored, and despised.
He loved his people, who appreciated words and symbols, and he eventually became such a symbol. Zeev Jabotinsky was a great man and leader, and this was an excellent online lecture!

Why do I need a Temple? Why should we remember it, much less fast? And what a strange way to remember – mourning and fasting? We live well without the Temple and do not suffer from its absence. Isn't it time to tackle the future instead of digging into the past?
The spiritual and cultural life of the Jewish People during Temple times, and the destruction of the Temples and our dispersion among the nations teach us many relevant lessons for today and things we all need to fix.
We discussed these topics, including insights from Corona, with famous tour guide and educator David Wainshtein, as the fast of Tisha B’av began, putting us in the right frame of mind for the rest of this important day.
